Coordinating origin cargo under a FOB programme
Ligentia moved the customer to a FOB programme and coordinated supplier collections, consolidation and load planning across nine Chinese origin ports. It managed allocation and routing across multiple carrier contracts, using origin storage and consolidation where needed. This connected the origin cargo plan with the capacity and routing decisions for the international move.
Connecting the UK warehouse with delivery milestones
In the UK, Ligentia selected a centrally located distribution centre and used warehouse management processes for receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch. It organised delivery to retail distribution centres, stores and homes. Ligentix captured milestones from container unloading to final delivery, with order and inventory information synchronised between systems.

Ligentia reports that the combination secured capacity, kept costs under control and improved day-to-day warehouse and distribution efficiency. It also describes better visibility for managing exceptions and supporting expansion beyond a single retail channel. These are the operator’s reported outcomes; the account does not quantify savings or an improvement in on-time delivery.
